Providing relief to additional middle-income unemployed workers

Mr. Feeney, Ms. Rausch, Mr. Eldridge, Ms. Chang-Diaz and Mr. O'Connor move that the proposed new text be amended in Section 24 (b), by striking out in line 576 the following words:- “if the taxpayer’s household income is not more than 200 per cent of the federal poverty level as calculated by the United States Department of Health and Human Services. For the purpose of this subsection, “household income” shall be determined without regard to this section.”

and replacing with the following:- "if the adjusted gross income of the taxpayer for such taxable year is below $100,000."
