New England Aquarium

Ms. Edwards, Ms. DiZoglio and Messrs. Moore, Keenan, Rush, Feeney, Collins, Crighton, O'Connor and Timilty moved that the proposed new text be amended in section 2, by inserting after 7008-1116 the following item:

"XXXX-XXXX For the operations of the New England Aquarium Corporation in the cities of Boston and Quincy; provided, that funds appropriated in this item shall be expended to serve as a catalyst for economic development, job opportunities for local residents, and attracting visitors to the Commonwealth; provided further, that funds appropriated in this item may be used for marine animal conservation research, protection, and education; and provided further, that funds appropriated in this item may be used for maintenance upgrades and other improvements, including those necessary for the operation of facilities operated by the corporation $7,200,000."
