Amendment #1431 to H3900

Foundation Reserve One-Time Assistance

Ms. Ferguson of Holden moves to amend the bill in section 2 by inserting after item 7061-0009 the following item:-

“7061-0011 For Foundation Reserve one time assistance to eligible cities, towns and regional school districts; provided that, funding shall be given in the following priority order: (i) school districts which are receiving minimum aid and which towns, or individual member towns in the case of regional school districts, have minimum required contributions that are in excess of fifty percent of the Calculated Change, Base to Current figure as determined  by each city/town or member towns' fiscal year 2024 Municipal Revenue Growth Factor report; (ii) school districts which towns, or individual member towns in the case of regional school districts, have minimum required contributions that are in excess of fifty percent of the Calculated Change, Base to Current figure as determined  by each city/town or member towns' fiscal year 2024 Municipal Revenue Growth Factor report; provided further, that funds distributed from this item shall not be considered Chapter 70 aid for the calculation of the minimum required contribution for fiscal year 2025 ………………………………………………………......................................................$21,000,000
