Amendment #1489 to H3900

Massachusetts Maternal Mortality and Morbidity Review Committee

Ms. Sabadosa of Northampton moves to amend the bill in Section 2, in item 4590-1503, by inserting the following: "provided that no less than $750,000 shall be expended for the Massachusetts Maternal Mortality and Morbidity Review Committee, a component of the Maternal Mortality and Morbidity Initiative under the Pregnancy, Infancy and Early Childhood Division of the Bureau of Family Health and Nutrition; provided that the department of health shall deliver timely aggregate and patient-level data for the committee to review and utilize to develop recommendations to improve perinatal and maternal health outcomes; provided that the department shall regularly convene the committee to encourage consistent case review and reporting of findings and recommendations; and provided further that at least annually the committee shall release its findings and recommendations."
