Charles River Bicycling and Pedestrian Improvements

Representatives Decker of Cambridge and Owens of Watertown move to amend the bill in section 2, in item 2810-0122, in line 2, by inserting after “areas” the following: “; provided, that for the purpose of increasing safe bicycle and pedestrian travel along the Charles River, funds shall be expended for the planning and construction of two physically separate and segregated bicycle and pedestrian pathways along Memorial Drive and the Cambridge Parkway in Cambridge from the River Street Bridge to the Eliot Bridge; provided further, that not later than January 1, 2025, the department shall submit a report to the house and senate committees on ways and means and the clerks of the house of representatives and the senate detailing (a) the total funds expended to date; (b) the progress made on the pathways; and (c) a timeline for completion”
