Amendment #165 to H3900
John J. Binienda Center for Civic Education at Worcester State University
Mr. O'Day of West Boylston moves to amend the bill in Section 2, in line item 7116-0100, by inserting at the end thereof the following: ;"provided further that not less than $125,000 shall be expended for the John J. Binienda Center for Civic Education at Worcester State University to expand service learning and volunteerism in the greater Worcester community, to support student experiential learning, to foster and develop student leadership opportunities, to support first generation and economically disadvantaged students through targeted scholarship support, for new innovations in student civic engagement and learning through building of intentional networks of students with community members and alumni, and for programmatic development, updates and technologies within the center" and in said item, by striking out the figures "$34,809,139" and inserting in place thereof the figures "34,934,139"
