Maternal-Child Health Network Needs Assessment of the Greater Taunton Area

Ms. Doherty of Taunton moves to amend the bill in Section 2 by inserting after line item 4590-1503 the following item: 4590-1503 “that not less than $30,000 be expended to conduct a maternal-child health needs assessment, coordinated by Manet Community Health, for the purpose of identifying barriers to maternity and childcare and developing inclusive programs to improve and enhance local access to such care. The closing of maternity and pediatric units at Morton Hospital has led to a lack of local access to obstetrical and maternal-child health services in the Greater Taunton Area.”
