Removal of Phosphorus from Septic Systems to Protect Cape Cod Ponds Pilot Program Environment

Mr. Flanagan of Dennis moves to amend the bill in section 2, in item 2200-0100, by adding the following: “provided further, that not less than $150,000 shall be expended to the Brewster Ponds Coalition toward the installation of enhanced phosphorus removal Alternative Innovative Septic Systems, not currently available in Massachusetts, to demonstrate the effectiveness of enhanced phosphorus removal technologies described to prevent cyanobacteria blooms and unnatural algae growth polluting ponds on Cape Cod, and in said item by striking the figures “$47,558,783” and inserting in place thereof the figures, “$47,708,783.”
