Amendment #76 to H3900

ROCA Young Mothers Experiencing Acute Trauma Pilot Program Amendment

Mr. Donato of Medford moves to amend the bill by inserting the proposed new line item 0930-1012 after line item 0930-0100 and including the following:

 

“The Office of the Child Advocate shall administer not less than $1,500,000 to Roca, Inc. to identify and serve young mothers ages 14-24 and their children who are experiencing high levels of victimization, trauma, poverty, and instability and are involved with multiple systems including but not limited to child welfare and criminal justice; provided further, that this funding shall be utilized to provide intensive case management, trauma-informed supports, help accessing services and meeting basic needs, and advocacy across multiple systems that allows for healing and behavior change; provided further, that efforts, service delivery, and outcomes will be evaluated by an external evaluator; provided further, that Roca, Inc. shall collect and report to the Child Advocate on key data points regarding the target population and services no later than March 31, 2024; and provided further, that Roca, Inc. and the Child Advocate will, by June 30, 2024, issue a report that documents successes and challenges in meeting the needs of this population and makes recommendations for improvements, including recommendations pertaining to robust education for other entities working with the target population…………………………………..$1,500,000
