Amendment #966 to H3900

Public Housing Tenant Program

Ms. Fiola of Fall River moves to amend the bill, in section 2, in item 7004-9007, by adding at the end thereof the following:

"and for implementation of programs to improve the health and welfare of residents in state-aided public housing; provided further, that not less than $1,000,000 shall be expended on funding for local tenant organizations at a rate of $25 per state-aided public housing unit occupied or available for occupancy by residents represented by such local tenant organizations, and provided further, that not less than $1,000,000 shall be provided to establish a resident maintenance assistance pilot program for residents to receive stipends to assist maintenance departments".

And further by striking out the figures “$2,200,000” and inserting in place thereof the following figures:- “$4,200,000".
