Requiring a Safety Course Certificate with First License/Permit Application

Mr. Gentile of Sudbury moves to amend the bill in SECTION 45, in lines 986 and 987, by striking the words “(d) No license shall issue under this section unless the applicant submits with their application a basic firearms safety certificate pursuant to section 126.”

and inserting in place thereof the words “(d) A firearms safety certificate shall be required with first license or permit applications unless otherwise exempted.”;

And further amend the bill in SECTION 47 §126 (a), in line 1309, by inserting after the word “No” the word “initial”.
