Removing Redundant Gun Registration Requirements

Mr. Gentile of Sudbury moves to amend the bill by striking out SECTION 39;

 

and further amend the bill in SECTION 40, in line 564 to 568, inclusive, by striking out the words “The serial number request system shall be integrated with the electronic firearms registration system maintained by the department of criminal justice information services pursuant to section 122 and shall be able to register all firearms and report firearm transactions pursuant to said section 122, and ensure that all data on privately made firearms is available for data collection pursuant to sections 122B and tracing purposes pursuant to section 122C.”;

 

and further amend the bill in SECTION 44, in lines 898 and 899, by striking out the words “and shall report such delivery or surrender to the electronic firearms registration system created pursuant to section 122”;

 

and further amend the bill in SECTION 44, in lines 950 to 962, inclusive, by striking out Section 123D (f);

 

and further amend the bill in SECTION 45, in lines 988 to 992, inclusive, by striking out Section 124 (e);

 

and further amend the bill in SECTION 45, in lines 1026 to 1029, inclusive, by striking out Section 124A (e);

 

and further amend the bill in SECTION 46, in lines 1145, 1146, and 1147, by striking out Section 125A (c)(i);

 

and further amend the bill in SECTION 46, in lines 1159 to 1162 inclusive, by striking out Section 125A (d);

 

and further amend the bill in SECTION 47, in line 1378, by striking out the word “, registration”;

 

and further amend the bill in SECTION 48, in lines 1600 to 1612, inclusive, by striking out Section 127B (h);

 

and further amend the bill by striking out SECTION 88;
