Amendment #16 to H4167

Cliff Effect Pilot

Representatives Duffy of Holyoke and González of Springfield move to amend the bill by adding a new section:

"New Section XXX

Chapter 268 of the Acts of 2022 is hereby amended in line item 4403 – 2001 after the words 'for the duration of the participation in the pilot program' by striking the language 'participants shall receive an additional benefit from the department of transitional assistance,' and replacing them with 'shall be awarded a supplemental payment to the earned income tax credit,' and further amended after the words 'including reasons for exiting; and provided further, that not later than' by striking the date 'July 21, 2025' and replacing it with 'December 31, 2026'"
