Amendment #18 to H4178

Transportation and Complex Patients

Ms. Kilcoyne of Clinton moves to amend the amendment in Section 12, by inserting in line 640 after the words “nonemergency medical transportation;” the following:-

"(xii) alternative transportation options for patients being discharged and transferred to post-acute care facilities or home health agencies;"

and further amend in line 640 by striking the clause “(xii)” and inserting in place thereof the following:-

"(xiii)"

and further amend in line 642 by adding after the word “settings” the following phrase:-", including but not limited to patients with dementia diagnoses, geriatric patients with psychiatric diagnoses, patients with behavioral health diagnoses, patients with substance use disorder diagnoses, and patients who are unable to find placement for post-acute care for six months or more and may be justice involved."
