Summer Recreation Programs

Ms. Kerans of Danvers moves to amend the bill in Section 2A, Line Item 1599-1213, in line 39, by inserting after “further” the following: “Each host community shall receive an amount of funding per pupil specifically for summer programming offered by the host municipality which shall consist primarily of supervised outdoor recreation. Communities may collaborate with local non-profits, including but not limited to YMCAs and Boys and Girls Clubs, and shall follow all EEC requirements. Said funding shall be approximately equivalent to the rate of similar programs in the area.”
