Amendment #23 to H4460

DESE Reporting Requirements

Mr. Finn of West Springfield moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:

 

"Section XXXX. The executive office of administration and finance, in consultation with the executive office of housing and livable communities and the department of early and secondary education, shall submit a report to the house and senate committees on ways and means not less than 30 days after the end of the fiscal year. Said report shall include, but shall not be limited to: (i) total number of students in the emergency assistance housing program enrolled in public schools, by district; (ii) total number of students in the emergency assistance housing program who require transportation services to a school district outside of the district in which they are currently sheltered and its total associated costs, by district; (iii) total number of students per district requiring language services, by language; (iv) MCAS score data for school districts who have educated students enrolled in the emergency assistance housing program within the last three school years; (v) per pupil cost analysis of all expenditures made by school districts with students enrolled in the emergency assistance housing program, by district."
