Protections for Families in Compliance

Mr. LeBoeuf of Worcester moves to amend the bill in section 3, in line 112, by inserting after the word “paragraph” the following paragraph: “Notwithstanding paragraphs (2) and (3), a family with children or a pregnant woman with no other children that receives benefits through the emergency housing assistance program as of April 1, 2024, or thereafter, shall remain eligible for the program benefits if the recipient is unable to meet the objectives of their documented re-housing plan and has exhausted all available efforts to meet these objectives and has failed to find feasible alternative housing within the determined timeline. The executive office shall promulgate regulations or guidance for implementation of this paragraph.”
