Payer Assessment

Ms. Kilcoyne of Clinton moves to amend the bill in Section 62 by inserting at the end of paragraph (e) of the proposed new Section 68 of chapter 118E the following:- “provided that the secretary shall ensure that the commercial-based component of the total assessment liability for each surcharge payor for calendar year 2025 does not exceed the commercial-based component of the total assessment liability paid in calendar year 2024; provided further that the executive office shall hold a public hearing prior to implementing this section”.
