Amendment #1226 to H4600

Logan Runway Safety Area

Mr. Madaro of Boston moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:

Section XX.​ The Massachusetts Port Authority is hereby authorized to construct and maintain from available funds, an enhanced runway safety area (“RSA”) at the end of Runway 27, which would include a pier extending into Boston Harbor, at the General Edward Lawrence Logan International Airport. Said RSA shall extend approximately four hundred sixty feet (460’) beyond the harbor line of 1966 between Points C and D. The construction and maintenance of said RSA shall be subject to the applicable provisions of chapter ninety-one of the General Laws.
