Amendment #1349 to H4600

State University and Community College Endowment Match

Mr. Kushmerek of Fitchburg moves to amend the bill in section 2, in item 1596-2425, by striking out the following: "provided further, that not less than $5,000,000 shall be allocated to state universities; provided further, that not less than $5,000,000 shall be allocated to community colleges;" and inserting in place thereof the following: "provided further, that not less than $10,000,000 shall be allocated to state universities; provided further, that not less than $10,000,000 shall be allocated to community colleges; provided further, that if any funds allocated herein for disbursement to community colleges shall be unused, the remaining funds shall be made available to the state universities; provided further, that if any funds allocated herein for disbursement to state universities shall be unused, the remaining funds shall be made available to the University of Massachusetts;”; and in said item by striking out the figures "$10,000,000" and inserting in place thereof the figures "$20,000,000".
