Amendment #1398 to H4600

Wagers on In-State College Regular Season Events

Mr. Frost of Auburn moves to amend the bill by adding the following sections:

“SECTION XXXX. Section 3 of chapter 23N of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 Official Edition, is hereby amended in line 124 by striking the words ‘or (ii) a collegiate sport or athletic event involving 1 or more collegiate teams from the commonwealth unless they are involved in a collegiate tournament.’

SECTION XXXX. Section 4 of chapter 23N of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 Official edition is hereby amended in line 55 by striking the word ‘and’.

SECTION XXXX. Said Section 4 is hereby further amended in line 56 by inserting the following words:- (ix) set limits on wagers on a collegiate sport or athletic event involving 1 or more teams from the commonwealth unless they are involved in a tournament, if it sees fit.”
