Amendment #177 to H4600

Mr. Puppolo of Springfield moves to amend line-item 7008-0900, at the end thereof after the word “region” by adding the following:-  “, provided further, that not less than $200,000 shall be expended for the operation of NEPM education efforts that include Media Lab training sessions, workplace readiness and internships for both in-person and remote instruction sessions to engage high school students in media literacy and the role of fact-based journalism in public media and to illuminate the impact of diversifying the workforce. In addition to sustaining Media Lab’s programmatic needs, we will offer early education trainings and community engagement events for educators and families in underrepresented communities.”, and further amends the line-item at the end thereof by striking the number “268,309” and inserting in place thereof the following new number, “468,309”.
