Amendment #194 to H4600

Catie's Closet

Ms. Howard of Lowell moves that the proposed new text be amended in section 2, in item 7010-1192, by adding the following words:- “; provided further, that not less than $300,000 shall be expended for Catie’s Closet, Inc. to provide students in kindergarten to grade 12, inclusive, in schools located in the Merrimack Valley with a high percentage of low-income and homeless students with: (i) in-school access to clothing, toiletries, and basic necessities; and (ii) community-based resources including, but not limited to, social services, mental health services and behavioral health services"; and by striking out the figure "$100,000" and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- "$300,000”.
