Amendment #361 to H4600

Cape & Islands Water Protection

Ms. Peake of Provincetown moves to amend the bill by adding the following new sections:-

SECTION XX.  The fourth paragraph of section 19 of chapter 29C of the General Laws is hereby amended, in lines 42, 43 and 44, by striking out “, subject to a memorandum of understanding with the department of environmental protection,”

And further in said paragraph, in lines 46, 47 and 48, by striking out the words “to the department for the department to contract with a regional planning agency, institution of higher education or non-profit corporation” and inserting in place thereof the words “to the Cape Cod Commission for the purposes of contracting with an entity or entities”

SECTION XX.  The fifth paragraph of section 20 of chapter 29C of the General Laws is hereby amended, in lines 45 and 46, by striking out “The records maintained by the management board shall be audited annually by an independent certified public accountant.”,

And further in said paragraph, in line 47, by striking out “a copy of the annual audit report and”,

And further in said paragraph, in line 49, by striking out the words “environment, natural resources and agriculture” and inserting in place thereof the words “environment and natural resources”
