Increased Court Powers and Revenues

Mr. Rogers of Norwood moves to amend the bill by adding the following section: SECTION XX. Section 35A of chapter 218 of the general laws is hereby amended in the second paragraph by adding at the end thereof the following:- The court, or said officer thereof, in either case, may dismiss the complaint or enter a finding of not responsible and may require that court costs of not more than $100 be paid by said person; provided that 100 per cent of any such funds shall be transferred to the General Fund.”
