Amendment #699 to H4600

Prioritizing Emergency Housing Assistance Based on Residency

Representatives Jones of North Reading, Ferguson of Holden, Frost of Auburn, Gifford of Wareham, Barrows of Mansfield and Smola of Warren move to amend the bill by adding the following section:-

“SECTION XX. Section 30 of Chapter 23B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 Official Edition, is hereby amended in subclause (B) in the first sentence by inserting at the end thereof the following language:-

“; provided that said regulations shall prioritize eligibility for the program according to an applicant's duration of residency in the commonwealth”
