Amendment #805 to H4600
Medication Abortion Pilot Program and Study
Ms. Nguyen of Andover moves to amend the bill in section 2, in item 4513-1005, by inserting the following:- “; provided further, that not less than $500,000 shall be expended to Ibis Reproductive Health, Inc. to develop and implement a medication abortion pharmacy access pilot program; provided further, that the pilot shall support the creation of collaborative physician-pharmacist agreements for mifepristone-misoprostol and misoprostol-only abortion regimens; provided further, that the pharmacies included in the pilot shall be geographically diverse and include multiple pharmacy settings; provided further, that Ibis Reproductive Health, Inc. shall collect and analyze data from patients and pharmacists about the pilot, including without limitation patient experience, patient access to initial and follow-up care, patient preference, medication regimen effectiveness, and pharmacist experience; provided further, that not later than March 30, 2025, Ibis Reproductive Health, Inc. shall, in consultation with Reproductive Equity Now, Inc., issue an interim report on pilot participation, data collected, and study results, including without limitation any recommendations for pilot and study extension, to the joint committee on public health and the house and senate committees on ways and means”; and by striking out the figure “$25,126,268” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- “$25,626,268”
