Landscaping Improvements and Highway Buffers in City of Newton

Ms. Khan of Newton moves to amend the bill in section 2, line item 1599-0026, by inserting after "governments": provided further, that not less than $75,000 shall be expended to the city of Newton for landscaping improvements along Washington Street between West Newton Square and Newtonville to help provide buffer to the MassPike as part of the city’s Washington street pilot program of roadway changes, pedestrian and bikeway improvements and provisions for business parking and MBTA bus stop areas.
