Amendment #998 to H4600

Funding for 250th Celebrations for Battle Road Towns

Representatives Ciccolo of Lexington, Gentile of Sudbury, Cataldo of Concord, Garballey of Arlington, Rogers of Cambridge, Peisch of Wellesley and Gordon of Bedford move to to amend the bill in section 2, in item 7008-0900, in line 16, by inserting after “region” the following: "And provided further that no less than $1,794,200 dollars be appropriated to the IMA group of towns which includes Lexington, Lincoln, Concord, and Arlington for the costs associated with event planning, operations, public safety, transportation, marketing, and logistics, including but not limited to costs associated with any contracted services, and/or overtime for personnel, for the purposes of executing a safe and efficient 250th anniversary celebration;” And in said item by striking out the figures "268,309" and inserting in place thereof the figures "2,062,509".
