Patient-specific benefit and deductible information

Mr. Roy of Franklin moves to amend the amendment in Section 16 of Chapter 6D, as so appearing, by inserting, in subsection (a), after the words "payer or provider" the following words:-

"; and, (9) facilitate cost containment by requiring that patient-specific benefit and deductible information must be made available by payers to requesting providers. Patient-specific benefit and deductible information shall be transmitted through said provider's electronic health record system, so that requesting providers may access said information in real time upon the request of a patient."
