Amendment #9 to H4661

Medal of Liberty License Plate Notification for Past Recipients

Representatives Jones of North Reading, Ferguson of Holden, Frost of Auburn, Gifford of Wareham, Barrows of Mansfield and Smola of Warren move to amend the bill by adding the following section:- 

“SECTION XX. Section 2 of chapter 90 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 Official Edition, is hereby amended in the twenty-third paragraph by inserting at the end thereof the following sentence:-

“The registrar, in consultation with the Massachusetts National Guard, shall notify all past recipients of the Medal of Liberty, established pursuant to section 67A of chapter 33 of the General Laws, of their eligibility for the Medal of Liberty license plate through a letter, which shall include the application for the Medal of Liberty License Plate.”
