Amendment #39 to H4707

Local resident preference in community supported housing units

Miss Garry of Dracut moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:

SECTION. XXXX.

"Community supported" shall  be defined as any project that the local town has provided financial resources or the property for the project, including but not limited to CPA funds for allocated by the community for housing or historical preservation."

Any community supported housing units created or maintained shall require its tenants to be from that local community before opening it up to Massachusetts residents outside the city or town it is located in.
