Retaining Affordable Housing Units

Miss Garry of Dracut moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:

SECTION XXXX. Any low and moderate income housing unit created under MGL Ch. 40B that is privately owned that can not be sold in a timely manner so as to maintain its affordability under the 40B law shall be transferred to the local Housing Authority ownership with the Commonwealth paying the required affordable housing purchase price to the private owner within 60 days of notification to the Executive Office of Housing and Liveable Communities of the lack of buyer under the Chapter 40B low and moderate income eligibility.
