Emergency Opioid Antagonists

Mr. Donato of Medford moves to amend the bill in section 1, as amended by Further #8, by inserting after the words “chapter 94C”, in lines 5 and 6, the following words:- and used in the reversal of overdoses caused by opioids.

 

And further amend the bill in said section 1 by inserting after the word “antagonist”, in line 8, the following words:- used in the reversal of overdoses caused by opioids.

 

And further amend the bill in said section 1 by inserting after the word “antagonist”, in line 12, the following words:- used in the reversal of overdoses caused by opioids.

 

And further amend the bill in said section 1 by inserting after the word “antagonist”, in line 14, the following words:- used in the reversal of overdoses caused by opioids.

 

And further amend the bill in said section 1 by striking out the words “chapter 94C.”, in line 15, and inserting in place thereof the following words:- chapter 94C; provided, however, that the rate to be reimbursed under the medical benefit shall not exceed the commission’s average in-network pharmacy benefit rate and the health care facility shall not balance bill the patient.

 

And further amend the bill in section 11 by striking out, in lines 418 to 420, inclusive, the words “limits; provided, however, that cost-sharing shall be required if the applicable plan is governed by the federal Internal Revenue Code and would lose its tax-exempt status as a result of the prohibition on cost-sharing for this service.” and inserting in place thereof the following word:- limits.

 

And further amend the bill in section 14, as amended by Further #8, by inserting after the words “chapter 94C”, in line 456, the following words:- and used in the reversal of overdoses caused by opioids.

 

And further amend the bill in said section 14 by inserting after the word “antagonist”, in line 458, the following words:- used in the reversal of overdoses caused by opioids.

 

And further amend the bill in said section 14 by inserting after the word “antagonist”, in line 464, the following words:- used in the reversal of overdoses caused by opioids.

 

And further amend the bill in said section 14 by inserting after the word “antagonist”, in line 466, the first time it appears, the following words:- used in the reversal of overdoses caused by opioids.

 

And further amend the bill in said section 14 by striking out the words “chapter 94C.”, in line 467, and inserting in place thereof the following words:- chapter 94C; provided, however, that the rate to be reimbursed under the medical benefit shall not exceed the carrier’s average in-network pharmacy benefit rate and the health care facility shall not balance bill the patient.

 

And further amend the bill in section 16, as amended by Further #8, by inserting after the words “chapter 94C”, in line 494, the following words:- and used in the reversal of overdoses caused by opioids.

 

And further amend the bill in said section 16 by inserting after the word “antagonist”, in line 496, the following words:- used in the reversal of overdoses caused by opioids.

 

And further amend the bill in said section 16 by inserting after the word “antagonist”, in line 500, the following words:- used in the reversal of overdoses caused by opioids.

 

And further amend the bill in said section 16 by inserting after the word “antagonist”, in line 502, the following words:- used in the reversal of overdoses caused by opioids.

And further amend the bill in said section 17 by striking out the words “chapter 94C.”, in line 530, and inserting in place thereof the following words:- chapter 94C; provided, however, that the rate to be reimbursed under the medical benefit shall not exceed the carrier’s average in-network pharmacy benefit rate and the health care facility shall not balance bill the patient.
