Insurance Coverage for Buprenorphine and Methadone (Opioid Agonist) Treatment

Mr. Cahill of Lynn moves to amend the bill in clause (a) of SECTION 1 by adding after the words “section 19B of chapter 94C,” the following:-

“and opioid agonist treatment, including partial agonist treatment,”

and moves to further amend the bill in said clause of SECTION 1 by adding after the words “practitioner shall not be required for coverage of opioid antagonists” the following:-

“, and opioid agonist treatment, including partial agonist treatment”

and moves to further amend the bill in said clause of SECTION 1 by striking out the words “An opioid antagonist shall not” and replacing them with the following:-

“An opioid antagonist, and opioid agonist treatment, including partial agonist treatment, shall not”

and moves to further amend the bill in clause (b) of SECTION 1 by adding after the words “opioid antagonist” in each place they appear the following:-

“and opioid agonist treatment, including partial agonist treatment,”

and moves to further amend the bill in Section 10R of SECTION 11 by adding after the words “section 19B of chapter 94C,” the following:-

“and opioid agonist treatment, including partial agonist treatment,”

and moves to further amend the bill in said Section of SECTION 11 by adding after the words “practitioner shall not be required for coverage of opioid antagonists” the following:-

“, and opioid agonist treatment, including partial agonist treatment”

and moves to further amend the bill in said Section of SECTION 11 by striking out the words “An opioid antagonist shall not” and replacing them with the following:-

“An opioid antagonist, and opioid agonist treatment, including partial agonist treatment, shall not”

and moves to further amend the bill in subsection (b) of said Section of SECTION 11 by adding after the words “opioid antagonist” in each place they appear the following:-

and moves to further amend the bill in Section 47VV of SECTION 14 by adding after the words “section 19B of chapter 94C,” the following:-

“and opioid agonist treatment, including partial agonist treatment,”

and moves to further amend the bill in said Section of SECTION 14 by adding after the words “practitioner shall not be required for coverage of opioid antagonists” the following:-

and moves to further amend the bill in said Section of SECTION 14 by striking out the words “An opioid antagonist shall not” and replacing them with the following:-

and moves to further amend the bill in subsection (b) of said Section of SECTION 14 by adding after the words “opioid antagonist” in each place they appear the following:-

and moves to further amend the bill in Section 8WW of SECTION 16 by adding after the words “section 19B of chapter 94C,” the following:-

“and opioid agonist treatment, including partial agonist treatment,”

and moves to further amend the bill in said Section of SECTION 16 by adding after the words “practitioner shall not be required for coverage of opioid antagonists” the following:-

and moves to further amend the bill in said Section of SECTION 16 by striking out the words “An opioid antagonist shall not” and replacing them with the following:-
