Mr. Cabral of New Bedford moves to amend the bill by inserting after section 23 the following three sections:

SECTION 24A. Section 18A of chapter 17 of the General Law, as appearing in the 2020 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking clause (b) and inserting after the word “recovery”, in line 21, the following: (b) The bureau shall establish and shall provide for the administration of a training and accreditation program for operators of alcohol and drug free housing seeking certification under subsection (d).

SECTION 24B.  Section 18A of chapter 17 of the General Law, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking the definition “Certified alcohol and drug free housing”

SECTION 24C. Alcohol and drug free housing, as defined by section 18A of chapter 17 of the General Law, shall be certified with the Department of Public Health and registered with the local board of health as alcohol and drug free housing.
