Amendment #340 to H4789

Incentivizing the Creation and Renovation of Housing Options in Communities with Lower Assessed Property Values

Representatives Keefe of Worcester, Farley-Bouvier of Pittsfield and Duffy of Holyoke move to amend the bill by adding the following new section:

"SECTION XXXX. (a) The Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities shall review all relevant parts of the Code of Massachusetts Regulation Title 521 Section 3.0: Jurisdiction, including 3.3.1 and 3.3.2, and Section 9.0: Multiple Dwellings, including 9.2.2, to assess their impact on the creation and renovation of affordable and accessible buildings and housing throughout the Commonwealth.

(b) The Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities shall report its findings, including any legislative recommendations, to the house and senate committees on ways and means and the joint committee on housing no later than November 30, 2024."
