Amendment #31 to H4876

Statewide Flood Risk Assessment and Standards

Ms. Peake of Provincetown moves to amend the amendment by adding the following section:

 

SECTION XX.  The secretary of energy and environmental affairs shall review existing flood risk mapping resources in the commonwealth and assess the need for and feasibility of creating additional flood risk mapping resources to identify areas vulnerable to current and future flooding across the commonwealth.

 

The secretary shall develop recommendations, including any legislation or funding necessary, to support any additional required flood risk mapping resources and shall submit recommendations to the joint committee on environment and natural resources, the climate chief, the chairs of the house and senate committees on ways and means, and the clerks of the senate and house of representatives not later than December 31, 2024.  The recommendations shall also be made available to the public on the website of the executive office of energy and environmental affairs.
