Environmental Justice Solar Panel Incentive Program

Mr. González of Springfield moves to amend the amendment by adding the following section:

SECTION XXXX. Chapter 21A of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following section:-

Section 29. There shall be established an environmental justice solar panel incentive grant program for the purposes of increasing the installation of residential solar panels in environmental justice populations, as defined by section 62 of chapter 30.  The grant program shall be administered by the executive office of energy and environmental affairs.  Eligible households shall receive not less than $5000 for the installation of residential solar panels.
