Floor Amendment

Mr. Walsh of Peabody moves to amend the bill in line 1, by striking out the following: "SECTION 1."; by striking out section 2; and by inserting before the enacting clause the following emergency preamble:

“Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to designating a certain overpass in the city of New Bedford as the Andre Lopes Korean War Veteran Overpass, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.”.
