Reviving the Special Commission to Study the Civil Service Law

Mr. Gordon of Bedford moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:-

SECTION XX. The special legislative commission established in section 107 of chapter 253 of the acts of 2020 to study and examine the civil service law, is hereby revived. Appointing authorities shall appoint commission members as required by subsection (b) of said section. The commission shall supplement its report of March 30th, 2022 with further recommendations, together with any draft legislation necessary to carry those recommendations into effect, by filing the same with the governor, the speaker of the house of representatives and the president of the senate and the clerks of the house of representatives and the senate not later than May 31, 2024.
