Equitable Public Transit for Southcoast Residents

Mr. Montigny moves that the proposed new text be amended by inserting after section 6 the following:-

SECTION 6A.  Said item 6921-2112 of said section 2I of said chapter 383 is hereby amended by inserting at the end thereof the following: - “; provided, that funds shall be made available for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation BusPlus Program commuter bus service connecting the town of Fairhaven, the city of New Bedford, the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, the city of Taunton, and the city of Boston beginning April 15, 2023 until such time that commuter rail services commence in the city of New Bedford”.
