Messrs. Gomez, Oliveira and Velis move that the proposed new text be amended by inserting the following new section:

"SECTION XX. Section 2 of Chapter 268 of the Acts of 2022, is hereby amended by striking in line item 4403-2001, after the words for the duration of the participation in the pilot program' by striking the language 'participants shall receive an additional benefit from the department of transitional assistance,' and replacing them with 'shall be awarded a supplemental payment to the earned income tax credit,' and further amended after the words 'including reasons for exiting; and provided further, that not later than' by striking the date 'July 21, 2025' and replacing it with 'December 31, 2026."
