Promoting Opportunity for Women and Minority-Owned Businesses and Disabled Veterans

Messrs. Timilty, Tarr and Payano, Ms. Edwards and Messrs. Keenan and Feeney move to amend the bill by inserting after subsection (iii) in section 5, the following:-

(iv) (1) The secretary of administration and finance shall track and record the participation of women and minority-owned businesses and disabled veterans in projects and programs funded through the Commonwealth Federal Matching and Debt Reduction Fund.

(2) The secretary shall annually collect the following data for each project or program funded through the fund:

(a) The total number of businesses that participated in the project or program, (b) The number of women and minority-owned businesses and disabled veterans that participated in the project or program, (c) The percentage of total project or program funds awarded to women and minority-owned businesses and disabled veterans, (d) The number of women and minority-owned businesses and disabled veterans businesses that participated in the project or program. (e) The percentage of total project or program funds awarded to women and minority-owned businesses and disabled veterans businesses.

(3) the secretary shall include the data collected under paragraph (2) In the annual report required under section 2EEEEEE(b).

(4) The secretary shall develop and implement procedures to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the data collected under this subsection.
