Preventing shelter capacity from being exceeded

Messrs. Tarr, O'Connor and Montigny move that the proposed new text be amended in section 2A, in line-item 1599-1213 by inserting after the word “agencies”, in line 33, the following:- 

“, provided however that under no circumstances may these funds be expended on efforts by said agencies in attracting or facilitating the transport of new migrants, refugees or asylum seekers to Massachusetts that exceed the current and projected capacity of the emergency assistance housing program”.
