Offshore Wind

Messrs. Cyr, Eldridge, Gomez and Montigny move that the proposed new draft be amended by inserting after the word “years”, in line 282, the following words:- "provided that the schedule shall ensure that the department enters into long-term contracts under this section for offshore wind energy generation equal to approximately 5,600 megawatts of aggregate nameplate capacity not later than June 30, 2035, not including capacity authorized pursuant to section 83C of the acts of 2008, as most recently amended by section 60 of chapter 179 of the acts of 2022".
