Municipal Lighting Plants

Mr. Oliveira moves that the proposed new draft be amended in Section 21(a) by inserting after the words “chapter 21N”, in line 256, the following words:- “or Section 11F3/4 of Chapter 25A of the General Laws.”;

In Section 21(b) by inserting after the words “chapter 21N”, in line 272, the following words:- “and municipal light plants’ ability to achieve compliance with Section 11F3/4 of Chapter 25A of the General Laws,”;

In Section 21(c) by inserting after the words “chapter 21N”, in line 279, the following words:- “and municipal light plants’ ability to achieve compliance with Section 11F3/4 of Chapter 25A of the General Laws,”;

In Section 21(e) by striking out, in lines 305 through 307, the following words:- “The department may coordinate any solicitation under this section with other states, municipal light plants or other governmental and non-governmental organizations“ and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “The department shall consult with municipal light plants to coordinate any solicitation under this section and may also coordinate any solicitations under this section with other states, or other governmental and non-governmental organizations”; and in said Section 21(e) by inserting after the words “with other states”, in line 313, the following words:- “municipal lighting plants,”;

In Section 21(g) by inserting after the words “department of public utilities”, in line 323, the following words:- “except for those contracts executed by municipal light plants in coordination with the solicitation.“; and

In Section 21(i) by inserting after the words “at any point.”, in line 356, the following words:- “The central procurement trust fund will not be used for any expenditures related to contracts executed by municipal light plant in coordination with solicitations.”
