Mental Health Parity Implementation

Messrs. Cyr and Tarr, Ms. Gobi, Messrs. Velis and Lewis, Ms. Rausch, Mr. Collins and Ms. Lovely moved that the proposed new text be amended in section 2, in item 7006-0029, by adding the following words:- “; provided further, that not less than $250,000 shall be expended for implementation and enforcement of mental health parity protections established in chapter 177 of the acts of 2022 including, but not limited to, hiring staff, screening, investigating and adjudicating consumer and provider parity complaints and conducting market conduct exams”; and by striking out the figure “$1,060,794” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- “$1,310,794".
