Caribbean Integration Community Development Pilot Program

Ms. Miranda moved that the proposed new text be amended in section 2, by inserting after item 4003-0122 the following item:

"XXXX-XXXX For Caribbean Integration Community Development, Inc. for the purpose of conducting a pilot development program administered by the Office for Refugees and Immigrants in consultation with the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities to support the creation of housing units for immigrants and refugees; provided however, that said units shall first be made available for use by the Office for Refugees to provide housing under the Refugee Resettlement Program as established by the Refugee Resettlement Act of 1980, Chapter 2 of Title IV of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 USC 1521 et seq.) and other immigrant populations as may be determined by the Office for Refugees and Immigrants; provided further, said housing units may be made available as affordable rental housing that is affordable for households with incomes not more than 120 per cent of the area median income at a time to be determined by the Office for Refugees and Immigrants; provided further, that preference shall be given to occupants of said units at the time of conversion to affordable rental housing....... $250,000."
