Right Whale Patrol

Messrs. Tarr, O'Connor, Montigny, Moore, Cyr and Pacheco moved that the proposed new text be amended in section 2, in item 2030-1000, by adding the following words:- "; provided further, that not less than $350,000 shall be expended for the protection of right whales by increasing the patrols of the office and its officers’ ability to identify and remove abandoned fishing gear and enforce speed restrictions through the use of drone technologies to minimize potentially harmful interactions between vessels and right whales"; and by striking out the figure "$16,209,738" and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- "$16,559,738".
